Gilliatt is a woolen-spun yarn made from 3 well-twisted strands, creating a round, soft, and satisfying fluffy yarn that easily forgives irregularities. The wool is ethically sourced white French Arles merino and black Portuguese merino. Lightweight, soft, and slightly woolly, it shines in Fair Isle, intricate colorwork, defined cables, and airy rustic lace.
To minimize environmental impact and guarantee full traceability, the production chain is kept strictly local: wool is sourced in France and Portugal, washed in Belgium or Italy, and spun and dyed in France.
Choose from natural fleece shades—like sel (salt), poivre blanc (white pepper), poivre et sel (pepper and salt), and poivre (pepper)—or a rich collection of heathered, dyed-in-the-fleece colors.

RECOMMENDED CARE | Hand wash, lay flat to dry
Please note that very dark or particularly saturated colours such as "émeraude" are more likely to bleed during blocking. If you plan to knit with lighter colours, we recommend that you test a swatch first. If you find excess dye in the first wash, we recommend that you repeat the rinse bath until it is clear before drying your work.
